Familiarity is said to breed contempt, but I put forth the argument for deep self introspection and deliberation that familiarity breeds settling, mediocrity, less than God's best, fear, stagnancy and complacency. Nothing in the latter is in alignment with The Word of God for a daughter or son of Zion.
Reread the first paragraph and then ask yourself this rhetorical question: " Have I remained in this job, in this relationship, in this church, in this city despite being uncomfortable because it feels familiar?"
Familiarity is your enemy. It will hinder you from launching forth into your breakthrough and purpose. Familiarity will cause you never to realize that God has enlargened your territory. You just need to STEP OUT on the promises of God and take hold of your birthright which is dominion of this earth.
Familiarity made The Isarelites want to return to captivity when they were free! Familiarity, and not just fear, made The Isarelites want to stay in the desert when the Promised Land of milk and honey was their portion and WAITING for them to MOVE into.
Familiarity with your pain will normalize hurt when God promises that healing is his children's bread.
Familiarity with a workplace or relationship will make you never move! In this season, your breakthrough is dependent on YOU to MOVE!
Move like Moses.
Move like Elijah.
Move like Ruth. She moved and her husband found her, but most importantly from her lineage came Jesus.
Move like Rahab. She moved and saved her entire bloodline. YOUR BLOODLINE is waiting on you to move! Do you also know who came from Rahab's bloodline? I encourage you to do some research if you don't.
You feel the desire for more because you were created for GREATER in Christ. It's TIME TO MOVE!
You have outgrown familiarity and the intimacy of the attachment to FOLD and reveal your hand before realizing you have a WINNING HAND!!!
FIGHT for your promises which are Yes and Amen in Christ.
You will fight for your family, an inaccurate bill charge, your salary, if someone cuts you in the line, not to mention when driving, yet not the promises of God?
Become hostile and an enemy to familiarity. Never, ever, get use to less than God's best.
IT'S TIME TO MOVE!
