WHAT IF WE FALL SHORT OF "HIS" FAVOUR?

How many of you spend half of your lives in the same job watching people come and go as you stay in the same spot, in the cubicle by the window overlooking the parking lot?

How many of you know at exactly what time Mr. Randt will walk by with his German Shepherd and look up and give you a wave of acknowledgement with a smile as you peer through the window?

How many of you see newcomers in your workplaces get promoted while you get overlooked constantly?

How many of you go over and beyond for that promotion, for that praise from the boss and to see your photo framed below, "Employee of The Month"?

How many of you will relocate for a job, yet never move your lips to sing praises unto Jesus?

You find time for Sports, Shopping at The Mall, watching Netflix, scrolling through Pinterest, staying up till 2a.m. to finish that novel, wake up early to catch a flight to Las Vegas but will never rise once, not even once, early to pray?

When was the last time you told Jesus, "I love you!"

When was the last time you told him, " Thank you Jesus!"

When was the last time you lifted your hands in total surrender and gratitude to him?

When was the last time you read The Bible?

When was the last time you gave up a movie to sit in solitude with your Maker?

ANALYZE THIS:

We seek the favour of our spouse, our boss, our children, our godparents, parents, even absolute strangers and don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with wanting a specific person's favour, but what I am saying is some of us hunger and thirst after the affections of others and yet create a rift between ourselves and The One who holds our every breath in the PALM OF HIS HANDS!

Ask yourself this:

If Jesus were to come right now, if The Rapture were to take place, right this instant, would I fall short of receiving God's favour?
